For over sixteen years, Lawton has been developing his craft of creating functional, and sometimes whimsical, stoneware ceramic art. After initially learning ceramics at Mary Washington College, he taught high school pottery and worked for several years as a studio tech at Libertytown Arts Workshop before opening his own teaching and production studio in 2019. A natural teacher and maker, Bad Truck Pottery lies at the confluence of two of his passions.
