On Saturday, September 27, 2025, eight first responder teams from across Horry County will take to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans Ballpark for the Annual Guns & Hoses Charity Softball Tournament supporting Project Lifesaver.
SOS Care’s Project Lifesaver is a public safety program provides radio frequency tracking bracelets to those with intellectual disabilities and cognitive disorders who are diagnosed “at risk” and are prone to wander in our community. Project Lifesaver bracelets are available at no cost to Horry County residents with community events such as Guns & Hoses. Visitors can also borrow the bracelet device through Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce. Please contact the Myrtle Beach Chambers for details ahead of time before your visit.
Local police and fire department softball teams will match up for four initial games, two semi-final rounds and a championship game where the winner claims bragging rights.
Gates open to the public at 9 a.m. with the first game starting at 10 a.m. and the championship game set for 5:30 p.m. Admission is a $10 donation to SOS Care and children under five are free.
