My professional accomplishments include supporting both clinical and non-clinical students as they pursue educational pathways in health care by coordinating meaningful learning opportunities for K–12, undergraduate, and graduate-level students in both onsite and offsite settings. These opportunities include internships, clinical rotations, job shadowing, and other workforce development experiences that serve as a vital component of the recruitment pipeline for attracting and developing future healthcare professionals. Approximately 30 percent of our annual hires come from our student programs, demonstrating the significant impact these initiatives have on building a strong workforce. I also assisted in launching the Tidelands Health Scholars Program in partnership with Georgetown County School District and Horry-Georgetown Technical College. This program provides high school seniors the opportunity to graduate with both a high school diploma and certificate at no cost, giving students a valuable head start on their education and future careers. My goal is to continue expanding access to educational and career development opportunities while strengthening the health care workforce. By investing in our community, I believe we can create more pathways to success, reduce financial barriers to education, and allow individuals to achieve their educational and professional aspirations.

Favorite Quote and Why: “Whatever you are, be a good one” – Abraham Lincoln. This is my favorite quote because it reminds me that success is not necessary what you do professionally but also how you are as a person. By being intentional in how we show up every day can make a difference in every situation we face and how we should strive to put our best foot forward.

Definition of a Successful Leader: A successful leader is someone who supports and inspires their team with collaboration and respect. I believe a leader who builds a relationship and listens to each individual on their team will have a strong foundation and will achieve great success.

Advice to 18-Year-Old Self: The advice I’d give my 18-year-old self is to have confidence and to always be willing to learn something new. Take every opportunity given as it will help shape you and provide growth.
