The YMCA of Coastal Carolina will officially open its new Mission Advancement Center on Thursday, Jan. 29 at 10:30 a.m., marking a major milestone in the organization’s regional growth and community impact strategy.

Located at 529 Broadway St. in downtown Myrtle Beach, the new center will serve as the YMCA’s Regional Headquarters and Vision 2030 Hub — a space dedicated to strengthening partnerships, sharing stories of impact, and advancing the Y’s mission across Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg counties.

“This isn’t just a building — it’s a symbol of our commitment to the future of our community,” said David Byrd, president and CEO of the YMCA of Coastal Carolina. “The Mission Advancement Center will be a place where strategy meets service, and where leaders come together to build a healthier, more connected Coastal Carolina region.”

The Mission Advancement Center will play a key role in supporting the YMCA’s Vision 2030 priorities, including:

  • Mental Wellness

  • Community Health

  • College & Career Readiness

  • Early Childhood Education

The grand opening event will include a special program and two major announcements related to new capital investments and expansion projects that will impact the region in 2026 and beyond.
