John Rutenberg has been market president for Truist since 2021, and he has worked as a commercial banker for more than two decades. Prior to embarking on his career in banking, Rutenberg worked as a news producer for CNN in New York and earned a Juris Doctor while working for the New York City Law Department’s medical malpractice division. Rutenberg is immediate past chair of the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce and has chaired the Convention and Visitors Bureau. Other community service includes terms on the boards of Partnership Grand Strand and College of Charleston Alumni Association Finance Committee.
