Ryan Betcher serves as the assistant director of airports for the Horry County Department of Airports (HCDA), where he has helped guide the growth and operations of the county’s aviation system, including Myrtle Beach International Airport, since 2014. He is an Accredited Airport Executive with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and contributes to the profession nationally through his service on AAAE’s Board of Examiners. Betcher began his aviation career at Burlington International Airport in Vermont after earning dual bachelor’s degrees in business administration and economics from the University of Vermont. In 2014, he relocated to Myrtle Beach to join HCDA, later earning his MBA from Coastal Carolina University in 2019.
