Mark Sims

Mark Sims has been chief executive officer of Grand Strand Regional Medical Center since 2013, and he worked for the health system’s parent company, HCA, for 20 years prior to assuming the CEO role. He began his career with HCA as director of Food and Nutrition Services. Sims holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and an MBA from Belmont University. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has served on the advisory boards of The Hope Clinic and the American Heart Association.
